Most people
choose to use our Live Study Kits for
a couple days' worth of lessons and then send the specimens back
to us through our Return to the Sea program. If the kits
are used in this manner, additional accessories are not typically
needed. Many people, however, do choose to keep their plants and
animals for extended periods of time in the portable touch tank.
They have had great success provided they keep the water cool, aerate
the water, and change the water every couple days. Please call our
sales staff to best determine which accessories you may need.

Gel
Packs - We keep your plants and animals cool during
shipping using frozen gel packs. We typically recommend using
ice to keep your touchtank cool in the classroom, however, if
ice is not available we suggest you buy a few extra ice packs. |

Aeration
Kit - If you are going to keep your live specimens
for more than a couple days we recommend purchasing and using
our aeration kit. Complete with aerator, hose, weight and stone. |

Thermometer
- Your kit does come with a thermometer. It is essential
to keep your specimens cool - between 40 and 55 degrees Fahrenheit.
We recommend you purchase and use a thermometer if you are plannig
to use multiple portable touch tanks. |

Sea
Salts - We have pre-measured sea salts for your portable
touch tanks. We recommend that you mix new sea water for every
third day you keep your specimens. |

Touch Tanks - Our portable touch tanks are designed
to enjoy and learn from cold-water marine animals for a short
period of time without the expense or hassle of an aquarium.
Each portable touch tank comes with an insulated container,
a plastic tank, a thermometer, and an aeration kit. Please indicate
