mail your touch tank, teaching guides, and everything you need to
prepare for the arrival of your live plants and animals.
Step 2. Schedule
delivery. Call
us when you decide the date of your tidepool activity. We'll make
sure your live plants and animals arrive on the day before. We need
only 2 week's notice.
Step 3. Prepare.
Before
the plants and animals arrive you need to prepare your touch tank.
IT'S EASY - open the box, remove the
styrofoam cooler and the touchtank, mix the pre-measured sea salts
with spring water, and put the touch tank on ice in the styrofoam
box. You're ready!
Step 4. Educate
and thrill! Use
your kit for exciting hands-on lessons.
Step 5. Return life

Please note - To guarantee a safe return, you must return ship
your organisms after 2 days of use in the classroom. 
With the Return to the Sea Shipping
Option, Gulf of Maine, Inc. will accept the return shipment of
your tidepool life for release back into the ocean where the specimens
were originally collected. This gesture of stewardship is a way
for our company, the students, and their teachers to minimize
the effects of educational studies on the live marine specimens.
In this way, almost all of our tidepool kit organisms are returned
by our customers. In the past teachers have solicited student
donations to "adopt" this cause. The cost for this service
includes only the return shipping cost and a small handling charge.
